Wir haben ein neues Busticket!

Das Studierendenparlament hat in seiner Sitzung mit einer 2/3-Mehrheit für die Einführung des Bussemestertickets für das WiSe 22/23 und SoSe 23 gestimmt.

Zuvor hatte der AStA gemeinsam mit den Gruppen des Studierendenparlaments das Ticket nachverhandelt. Da viele Studierende durch die Pandemie finanziell stark belastet sind, freuen wir uns, dass wir das Angebot deutlich verbessern konnten. Statt 53€ kostet das Busticket nun nur noch 50,90€. Zudem gibt es eine Preisgarantie von 3 Jahren.

Damit könnt ihr nun auch ab Oktober weiter Bus fahren.

Ehrendoktorwürde Schröder

Wir begrüßen den Schritt des Senats Gerhard Schröder zur Niederlegung seiner Ehrendoktorwürde aufzufordern. Wir halten diese Entscheidung allerdings längst für überfällig! Andere Institutionen wie die Stadt Hannover und der DFB haben schon längst gehandelt. Die Ehrendoktorwürde wurde Schröder aus politischen Gründen verliehen und kann ihm folgerichtig aus politischen Gründen auch wieder aberkannt werden. Wenn Schröder sie nicht selber zurückgibt, muss die Uni nun handeln und die Ehrendoktorwürde aktiv aberkennen. Der AStA fordert, dass in Zukunft die Kriterien zu ihrer Verleihung, beziehungsweise Aberkennung kritisch reflektiert und überarbeitet werden, damit künftig Lehren aus dem aktuellen Fall gezogen werden können.

Public Climate School (PCS)

Die Public Climate School (PCS) bringt Klimabildung in Schule, Uni und Gesellschaft. Eine Woche lang präsentieren Students for Future Gruppen aus ganz Deutschland ein breites Programm und zeigen auf, wie sie sich die Bildung der Zukunft vorstellen. Die nächste Public Climate School findet vom 16.05. - 20.05.2022 statt.

Das nächste Klimacamp steht vor der Tür!

Wir befinden uns mitten in der Klimakrise, deren zerstörerische Folgen schon jetzt weite Teile der Welt zu spüren bekommen. Eine Krise die weder von der Politik, der Gesellschaft noch den Medien auch nur annähernd als eine solche behandelt wird. Um diese Gruppen aufzurütteln und eine weitere Diskursverschiebung nicht länger hinzunehmen wird auch dieses Jahr wieder ein Klimacamp von verschiedenen Göttinger Klimagruppen organisiert. Es soll als Raum einer gelebten Utopie dienen, in dem Menschen zusammengebracht werden, um sich über all die gesellschaftlichen Themen zu informieren und auszutauschen mit denen die Klimakrise neben den ökologischen Aspekten noch zusammenhängt: Rassismus, Sexismus, Klassismus, Kapitalismus, Patriachat, Ableismus und Queerfeindlichkeit, Intersektionalismus uvm. Dazu werden vom 12.05. – 29.05.22 an der Gauß-Weber-Anlage am Wall nahe dem Rathaus Workshops, Vorträge, Basteleien und Aktionen organsiert. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen sei es zum Mitmachen, zum Gucken, Spaß haben, Essen, Kaffee, Tee oder Mate trinken oder am Lagerfeuer sitzen.

Petition UMG Neubau

Mit einer effizienten Gebäudedämmung, einer klimafreundliche Beheizung beziehungsweise Kühlung und weiteren Maßnahmen könnten beim Neubau der Uniklinik in Göttingen substantielle Mengen an Treibhausgasen auf dem Stadtgebiet eingespart werden. Dieser Verantwortung wird die Landesregierung laut aktuellen Bauplänen jedoch nicht gerecht. Deshalb gibt es eine Petition, die dazu auffordert, die neue Uniklinik zukunftsfähig zu bauen. Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr euch an dieser beteiligt. ROSA-Rolling Safespace

Der Rolling Safespace ist eine mobile Anlaufstelle für Frauen auf der Flucht und seit anfang März in den griechischen Geflüchtetenunterkünften aktiv! (www.rolling-safespace.org). Nach den ersten Monaten in der praktischen Arbeit haben sie nun beschlossen weiterhin aktiv zu bleiben, die geschlechterspezifische Hilfe ist mehr als notwendig und ein Rückbau des Projektes ist keine Option. Dafür benötigen sie nun auch kontinuierlich neue Crewmitglieder, welche Lust und Energie haben, den Saferspace in Griechenland zu betreuen. Neben dem medizinischen Team (Ärztin und Hebamme) suchen sie gerad: eine Workshopbetreuung für Kinder, eine Workshopbetreuung für Sport, Übersetzer*innen (Arabisch, Farsi, Dari, Französisch) und eine Koordination in und für Griechenland. Das Ganze kann, falls notwendig, auch als Praktikum gezählt werden und bietet eine perfekte Möglichkeit aus dem Soziologie/PoWi/etc. Studium das Beste in der Praxis rauszuholen! Bus ticket

We have a new bus ticket!

On 25th of April, the student parliament voted with a 2/3 majority in its meeting for the introduction of the bus semester ticket for WiSe 22/23 and SoSe 23.

Beforehand, the AStA had renegotiated the ticket together with the groups of the students parliament. Since many students are financially burdened by the pandemic, we are happy that we were able to improve the offer significantly. Instead of 53€, the bus ticket now only costs 50.90€. In addition, there is a price guarantee of 3 years.

This means you can continue to travel by bus from October onwards.

Schröder's Honorary doctorate

We welcome the Senate's move to ask Gerhard Schröder to resign his honorary doctorate. However, we believe this decision is long overdue! Other institutions such as the City of Hanover and the DFB have already acted long ago. The honorary doctorate was awarded to Schröder for political reasons and can consequently be revoked for political reasons. If Schröder does not return it himself, the university must now act and actively withdraw the honorary doctorate. The AStA demands that in the future, the criteria for awarding or revoking the honorary doctorate be critically reflected upon and revised so that lessons can be learned from the current case.

Public Climate School (PCS)

The Public Climate School (PCS) brings climate education to schools, universities and society. For one week, Students for Future groups from all over Germany present a broad programme and show how they envision the education of the future. The next Public Climate School will take place from 16.05. - 20.05.2022.

The next climate camp is just around the corner!

We are in the midst of the climate crisis, the destructive consequences of which are already being felt in large parts of the world. A crisis that is not even remotely treated as such by politics, society or the media. In order to shake up these groups and to no longer accept a further shift in the discourse, a climate camp is being organised again this year by various climate groups in Göttingen. It is meant to serve as a space of a lived utopia where people are brought together to inform and exchange about all the social issues the climate crisis is connected to besides the ecological aspects: racism, sexism, classism, capitalism, patriarchy, ableist and queer hostility, intersectionalism and many more. Workshops, lectures, handicrafts and actions will be organised from 12.05. - 29.05.22 at the Gauß-Weber-Anlage at the Wall near the city hall. The whole programme can be found on the website of the climate camp klimacampgoettingen.noblogs.org/. Everyone is invited to join in, watch, have fun, eat, drink coffee or (mate) tea, or sit around the campfire.

Petition for the UMG

With efficient building insulation, climate-friendly heating and cooling, and other measures, substantial amounts of greenhouse gases could be saved in the new building of the University Hospital in Göttingen. However, according to current construction plans, the state government is not living up to this responsibility. That is why there is a petition calling for the new University Hospital to be built in a sustainable way. We would be very pleased if you would participate in this petition. ROSA-Rolling Safespace

The Rolling Safespace is a mobile contact point for women on the run and has been active in Greek refugee accommodation since the beginning of March! (https://www.rolling-safespace.org). After the first months of practical work, they have now decided to remain active; the gender-specific help is more than necessary and dismantling the project is not an option. Therefore, they need new crew members who have the desire and energy to take care of the Saferspace in Greece. Besides the medical team (doctor and midwife) they are currently looking for: a workshop supervisor for children, a workshop supervisor for sports, translators (Arabic, Farsi, Dari, French) and a coordinator in and for Greece. The whole thing can, if necessary, also be counted as an internship and offers a perfect opportunity to get the best out of your sociology/psychology/etc. studies in practice!
