Kulturtage (26.09-16.10)

Zum 10 jährigen Bestehen des Kulturtickets veranstalten wir Kulturtickettage. Feier mit uns das vielfältige kulturelle Angebots des Tickets. Egal ob Kunst, Musik, Sport, Theater oder Literatur. Alles das ist beim Kulturticket dabei.
Die Kulturtickettage finden zwischen dem 26.09. bis zum 16.10 statt, du kannst über 30 Veranstaltungen besuchen. Die meisten davon sind kostenlos oder für 1€ Eintritt zu besuchen.
Also wenn du Lust auf Konzerte, Theatervorführungen, Lesungen, Ausstellungsführungen oder Fußballspiele hast, nimm dein Studiausweis mit und feier mit uns das 10 jährige Bestehen des Kulturtickets.
Dabei sind das APEX, Boat People Projekt, Deutsche Theater, EXIL, Göttinger Kammermusikgesellschaft, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, I.SC, Göttingen 05, Junges Theater, Kantorei St. Jacobi, KAZ, Kellerkultur, Künstlerhaus Göttingen, Literarisches Zentrum, Veilchen Ladies, Musa, NichtNurTheater, Stadtbibliothek Göttingen, Stille Hunde, Theater im OP (ThOP) und das Vinyl Reservat.

Eltern-Café am 30. September

Leuchtende Laternen!

Am 30.09. findet das nächste Eltern-Café statt! Dieses Mal können Eure Kinder bunte, wunderbar leuchtende Laternen basteln.
Dazu wird es wieder Kaffee und Kuchen geben, wozu ihr Euch kennenlernen, austauschen und vernetzen könnt.
Das Eltern-Café findet am 30. September um 16 Uhr im AstA-Garten (Goßlerstraße 16a) statt.

Kommende O-Phase

Noch weniger als einen Monat zur O-Phase des WiSe 2022/23! Damit sich auf der O-Phase alle Wohlfühlen und einen schönen Start in das neue Studienleben haben, werden wir als Erstsemesterbetreuung des AStA erstmalig ein Awarenesskonzept für die O-Phasen vorlegen. Dies wird auf einer kommenden Arbeitskreissitzung mit den Fachschaften besprochen werden. Interessierte können der Sitzung gern beiwohnen. Sie findet am 04.10. um 18 Uhr s.t. statt. Der Ort wird noch bekannt gegeben, weshalb eine Mail zur Anmeldung vorab an erstsemester@asta.uni-goettingen.de sehr hilfreich ist.

Es wird auch wieder die allgemeinbekannten AStA-Stände während der O-Phase geben. Auf dem Nordcampus wird erstmalig ein Stand während der Nordcampusrallye am Donnerstag, den 20. Oktober geben. Die Stände für den Z-Campus werden noch terminiert.

Notfall-BAföG – nur ein Tropfen auf den glühend heißen Stein

Letzte Woche wurde im Bundestag die Einführung eines BaföG-Notfallmechanismus beschlossen. Als Darlehen ausgestaltet, solle er die Auswirkungen von Krisensituationen für Studierende abfedern. Dieser Notfallmechanismus ist allerdings nicht mehr als ein Tropfen auf dem glühend heißen Stein.
30 Prozent der Studierenden leben unterhalb der Armutsgrenze. Trotzdem gingen die Studierenden bei den ersten beiden Energie-Entlastungspaketen leer aus, abgesehen von den elf Prozent Bafög-Empfänger*innen. Die einmalige Zahlung von 200€ durch das dritte Entlastungspaket kann die strukturellen Probleme längst nicht lösen.
Statt Kleckerbeträge braucht es strukturelle Lösungen! Studierende wurden viel zu lange in der Krise vergessen und sollen nun einfach abgespeist werden. Wir fordern sofortige wirksame Unterstützungshilfen. Es braucht endlich eine wirksame BaföG-Reform, mit deutlichen höheren, existenzsichernden Sätzen und Freibeträgen, damit deutlich mehr Studierende erreicht werden.
Und auch die Löhne für Hiwi-Jobs müssen dringend steigen und zwar mehr als nur auf den neuen gesetzlichen Mindestlohn.

Gaskrise - wie läuft das Wintersemester

Ihr fragt euch sicherlich wie es im nächsten Semester mit der Lehre weitergeht, denn die Energiepreise steigen und das merkt auch die Universität. Wir sind seid Juni in Gesprächen mit der Universität. Das wichtigste zuerst: wenn es keine Anweisung der Landespolitik gibt, wird der Präsenzbetrieb nicht eingeschränkt werden. Einige Einschränkungen im Zuge des Energiesparens werden aber auf uns zukommem, v.a. das die Räume der Universität nur auf 19°C geheizt werden werden.

200€ durch das dritte Entlastungspaket

Die Ampel-Regierung hat sich auf ein weiteres Entlastungspalet geeinigt, welches, anders als die vorhergegangenen Maßnahmen, nun auch die Studierenden gezielt entlasten soll.
Zurzeit ist die Regierung am Erarbeiten einer Auszahlungsstrategie, welche in den kommenden Wochen dann genau festgelegt wird. Wir werden die weiteren Entwicklungen verfolgen und euch über unsere Kanäle weiterhin auf dem Laufenden halten!

Kulturticketdays (26.09-16.10)

For the 10th anniversary of the Kulturticket, we are hosting Kulturticket Days. Celebrate with us the diverse cultural offer of the ticket. Whether art, music, sports, theater or literature. Everything is included in the Kulturticket.
The Kulturticket days take place between 26.09. and 16.10. You can visit over 30 events. Most of them are free or can be visited for 1€ entrance fee.
So if you feel like going to concerts, theater performances, readings or soccer matches, take your student ID with you and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Kulturticket with us.

Parents-Café on September 30th

Lightning Lanterns!

The next parents’ cafe will take place on 30.09… This time, the children have the opportunity to craft their own, colourful and shining lantern.
At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and to network over a cup of coffee and cake.
Please come to the AStA-Garten (Goßlerstraße 16a) on September 30th at 4pm.

Upcoming O-Phase

Less than one month to go to the O-Phase of WiSe 2022/23! In order for everyone to feel comfortable during the O-Phase and to have a great start into the new study life, we as the first semester support of the AStA will present an awareness concept for the O-Phases for the first time. This will be discussed at an upcoming working group meeting with the student representatives. Interested parties are welcome to attend the meeting. It will take place on 04.10. at 6 pm s.t… The location is yet to be announced, so an email to erstsemester@asta.uni-goettingen.de to register in advance is very helpful.

There will also be the well-known AStA booths during the O-Phase. On the North Campus there will be a booth for the first time during the North Campus Rally on Thursday, October 20. The booths for the Z-Campus are still being scheduled.

Emergency BAföG - just a drop in the red-hot bucket

Last week, the Bundestag decided to introduce an emergency BAföG mechanism. Designed as a loan, it is supposed to cushion the effects of crisis situations for students. However, this emergency mechanism is no more than a drop in the red-hot bucket.
30 percent of students live below the poverty line. Nevertheless, students were left empty-handed in the first two energy relief packages, apart from the eleven per cent of Bafög recipients. The one-time payment of €200 through the third relief package cannot solve the structural problems by a long shot.

Structural solutions are needed instead of lump sums! Students have been forgotten for far too long in the crisis and are now simply to be fobbed off. We demand immediate and effective support. An effective BAföG reform is finally needed, with significantly higher, living wage rates and allowances, so that significantly more students can be reached.
And wages for hiwi jobs also urgently need to rise, and more than just to the new legal minimum wage.

Gas crisis - how’s the winter term going?

You are probably wondering what will happen next semester with the teaching, because the energy prices are rising and the university notices that too. We have been in talks with the university since June. The most important thing first: if there is no instruction from the state policy, the attendance will not be restricted. However, there will be some restrictions in the course of energy saving, especially that the rooms of the university will be heated to 19°C only.

200€ with the third relief deal

The German government has reached an agreement for an one-off payment of 200€ for all students. Compared to the policies before this it is directed to assist us directly.
Currently the government is planning on how to pay it to all students in a rather fast and unbureaucratic way which will be done in the coming weeks. We will, of course, follow this process and keep you updated on the development via our different channels!
