CSD & Plakate-Malen-Aktion

Am 26.08. findet bei uns in Göttingen der Christopher Street Day statt! Deshalb wollen wir euch zu unserer CSD-Plakate-Malen-Aktion einladen, wo wir zusammen Plakate, Schilder und Transparente gestalten. Bringt hierfür gerne eure Freund*innen und all eure Kreativität mit, damit wir diesen Tag bunter gestalten können! Die Aktion findet am 18.08., freitags um 14:00 Uhr im AStA-Garten (Goßlerstraße 16a, 37073 Göttingen) statt. Bei schlechtem Wetter wechseln wir in Seminarraum 1 im AStA-Gebäude. Eigene Farben und Materialien sind gerne gesehen, aber kein Muss!

Am Tag des Christopher Street Days sind wir – neben vielen anderen Gruppen – ebenfalls mit einem Stand beim Straßenfest zu finden. Das Straßenfest startet unmittelbar nach der Demo auf dem Albaniplatz. Deswegen: Lasst uns gemeinsam die LGBTQ+ Community unterstützen und seid mit uns bunt und kreativ!

Demonstrationsaktionstraining

Für erfolgreiche Aktionen braucht es eine gute Vorbereitung, Erfahrungsaustausch und Aktionstechniken, die erlernbar sind! Wir wollen euch dafür einen Raum mit moderiertem Training geben.

Das Basisaktionstraining zielt darauf ab, eure individuelle und kollektive Handlungsfähigkeit durch gezielte Übungen zu stärken, Ängste abzubauen und Neues kennen zu lernen. Inhalte des Trainings umfassen unter anderem: Überlegungen zu Zivilem Ungehorsam, Umgang mit Befürchtungen, die Bedeutung von Bezugsgruppen als Basis für erfolgreiche Aktionen, Entscheidungsfindung innerhalb und zwischen Bezugsgruppen, praktische Blockadetechniken und eine Einführung in rechtliche Fragen sowie den Umgang mit Repression.
Das Training kann euch in der Vorbereitung für den CSD am 26.08., dem Klimastreik am 15.09 oder für die Gegendemo gegen Querdenker*innen & die extreme Rechte am 16.09. eine Unterstützung sein.

Das Aktionstraining findet in Kooperation mit skills for action, einem deutschsprachigen Netzwerk bewegungsorientierter Aktionstrainer*innen statt.

Aufruf zur Gegendemo am 16.09.

Am 16.09. treffen sich in Göttingen Populist*innen, Verschwörungsideolog*innen, sogenannte Querdenker*innen und Reichsbürger*innen aus ganz Deutschland das zweite Mal in diesem Jahr zu einer Demonstration am Hauptbahnhof. Auf ihrer letzten Demo am 1.April kam es zu dokumentierten Hitlergrüßen und zur Verbreitung wissenschaftsfeindlicher Fakenews. Zu den Organisator*innen der Demo gehören unter anderem vorbestrafte Führungsfiguren aus der rechten Szene. Gegen die wissenschafts- und menschenfeindlichen Positionen dieser Gruppe stellen wir uns als AStA und rufen alle Studierenden zur Teilnahme an der Gegendemo am 16. September ab 11:30 Uhr auf der Berliner Straße auf!

Tarifrunde Herbst 2023: unsere Forderungen als Hilfskräfte und Tutor_innen

In diesem Herbst wird der Tarifvertrag der Länder (TVL) neu verhandelt. Nach diesem Tarif werden fast alle an der Uni bezahlt - studentische Beschäftigte und Tutor*innen nicht, obwohl wir den Betrieb mit am Laufen halten! Unser Ziel: wir wollen in den TVL und mitentscheiden über unsere Arbeitsbedingungen. Vertragslaufzeit, Lohnerhöhung, Mitbestimmung,… was ist dein heißes Thema? Um das rauszufinden läuft bis 30.09. eine Forderungsbefragung, MACH JETZT MIT!

Gedenkstättenfahrt Bergen-Belsen

Gerade jetzt wo wieder extreme Rechte in Parlamenten sitzen und ein Rechtsruck durch ganz Europa geht, ist es umso wichtiger zu wissen, was der Nationalsozialismus historisch in Europa angerichtet hat.

Darum bieten wir euch die kostenlose Möglichkeit der Besichtigung des ehemaligen Konzentrationslagers Bergen-Belsen an. Vor Ort wird es einen geleiteten Rundgang geben.

Stattfinden wird unsere Fahrt am Samstag den 28. Oktober, Treffen ist um 8:45 Uhr am Bahnhof in Göttingen.
Die Hin- und Rückfahrt wird per Bahn & Bus erfolgen. Bitte den Studierendenausweis mitbringen. Zur Anmeldung schreibt uns einfach eine Mail mit Vor- & Nachname an veranstaltung@asta.uni-goettingen.de.

Wohlfühl-O-Phase für alle!

Zwar hat die vorlesungsfreie Zeit gefühlt erst begonnen, doch die kommende O-Phase rückt immer näher. Eines unserer Ziele ist es, dass sich bei dieser O-Phase alle Menschen so wohl wie möglich fühlen können. Daher wird auch auf Awareness ein besonderes Augenmerk bei unserer Planung gelegt. Beispielsweise schulen wir uns und die Organisierenden in Workshops oder stehen im Austausch mit dem Präsidium.

Jede*r einzelne von uns kann dazu beitragen, dass vor allem alle neuen Studis gut im Studium und in Göttingen ankommen. Wir freuen uns auf eine Wohlfühl-O-Phase für alle!

CSD & Poster-Painting Action

On August 26th the Christopher Street Day will take place in Göttingen! Therefore, we want to invite you to our CSD poster-painting action, where we will create posters, signs and banners together. Bring your friends and all your creativity with you so that we can make this day more colorful! The action will take place on August 18th, Friday at 2pm in the AStA-Garten (Goßlerstraße 16a, 37073 Göttingen). In case of bad weather we will change to seminar room 1 in the AStA building. Your own colors and materials are welcome, but not a must!

On the date of the Christopher Street Day we will also be present with a booth at the street festival. The street festival starts immediately after the demo on Albaniplatz. Therefore: Let’s support the LGBTQ+ community together and be colorful and creative with us!

Basic demo training

For successful actions you need a good preparation and action techniques that can be taught! We want to give you a space for this.

This action training aims to strengthen your individual and collective ability to act, to reduce fears and to learn new skills. Contents of the training include: Reflections on civil disobedience, dealing with fears, the importance of base groups as a basis for successful actions, decision making within and between base groups, practical blockade techniques and an introduction to legal issues and handling repression. The training might be helpful in your preparation for the CSD on August 26th, the climate strike on September 15th, or the counter-demonstration on September 16th.

The action training takes place in cooperation with skills for action a German-speaking network of movement-oriented coaches.

Where: Asta Garten, Goßlerstraße 16a (in case of bad weather in the Asta seminar room)

When: August 25th 2pm

Duration: 3 hours (with breaks)

Please be on time and join us for the whole training! Joining later or leaving earlier is not recommended!

Call to the counter-demonstration on September 16th

On 16th September, populists, conspiracy ideologues and “Reich Citizens” from all over Germany will meet for the second time this year for a demonstration at the main railway station in Göttingen. At their last demonstration on April 1st, there were documented Hitler salutes and the spreading of anti-science fakenews. The organisers of the demonstration include leaders from the right-wing scene with criminal records. We, the AStA, oppose the anti-scientific and anti-human positions of this group and call on all students to participate in the counter-demonstration on September 16th from 11:30am at the Berliner Straße!

Fall 2023 collective bargaining round: our demands as support staff and tutors.

This fall, the collective bargaining agreement of the federal states (TVL) will be renegotiated. Almost everyone at the university is paid according to this collective agreement - student employees and tutors are not, although we help to keep the business running! Our goal: we want to join the TVL and have a say in our working conditions. Contract duration, wage increase, co-determination,… what is your hot topic? To find out, we are running a demand survey until September 30th, SIGN NOW!

Bergen-Belsen Memorial Tour

Especially now that extreme right-wingers are sitting in parliaments again and a shift to the right is going through all of Europe, it is all the more important to know what National Socialism has historically done in Europe.

That’s why we offer you the possibility to visit the former concentration camp Bergen-Belsen for free. There will be a guided tour on site.

Our trip will take place on Saturday, October 28th, meeting at 8:45am at the train station in Göttingen.
The trip will be by train & bus. Please bring your student ID with you.

Feel-good Orientation Week for everyone!

Although it feels like the lecture-free period has only just begun, the upcoming oriention week is drawing ever closer. One of our goals is to make sure that everyone can feel as comfortable as possible during this week. Therefore, awareness is also a special focus in our planning. For example, we train ourselves and the organizers in workshops or are in exchange with the presidium.

Every single one of us can help to ensure that especially all new students arrive well at their studies and in Göttingen. We are looking forward to a feel-good orientation week for everyone!
